Each year, FISH unites our community around a single mission: to lift up a local nonprofit making a powerful difference in the Central Valley.
When we select our beneficiary, they gain critical funding in addition to the collective momentum of hundreds of supporters who believe in their work. Together, we help amplify the nonprofit’s impact and open the door to brighter outcomes for the people they serve—people in need.

We want to ensure that the organization we select as our beneficiary aligns with our mission and goals. View the criteria to see if your organization qualifies.

If you qualify, fill out and complete the FISH Beneficiary Application 2026 form. You can fill out the form on this page, below, or click here to open the application in a new window.
*Note: The application deadline is February 14, 2026.

The FISH Board will review all applications in the third and fourth weeks of February and select our next beneficiary in March. Please let us know if you have any questions by contacting a board member or emailing us.

Your organization should engage in addressing local issues and supporting residents of the Central Valley. A special focus on women and children is a bonus.
Your organization should feature clear and transparent reporting on how your funds are allocated and utilized. You must be willing to provide detailed breakdowns of expenses and measurable impacts that are achieved with those funds.
Only a low percentage of funds should be allocated to administrative overhead, to ensure the impact of the funds we raise.
Due to the deep level of planning and commitment for our fundraising efforts, we require active participation and collaboration by our beneficiary. There also must be a commitment by the nonprofit to engage with their own network and supporters.
We want to ensure that the impact of our fundraising efforts is significant and doesn’t get lost. The funds raised by FISH should be a significant share of our beneficiary’s overall donation funds. That means preference will be given to nonprofits that receive minimal grants from other sources.
Read above for beneficiary qualifications.
