Our Support in Action

We are proud to say that FISH has raised more than $300,000 for local nonprofit organizations, and we are continually growing our contributions and impact year after year.

These fundraising efforts are our way of supporting and affecting local causes. Each year, the cause and impact on the community are significant factors when we choose a beneficiary.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County

FISH supported Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County (BGCFC) and its Phoenix Curriculum, raising over $120,000 through our Gala. BGCFC is a nonprofit that keeps kids out of trouble by offering a safe place to stay after school. It organizes positive activities in 15 different locations (clubs) across Fresno County strategically placed in areas of need. BGCFC’s Phoenix Curriculum is programmed to combat the fentanyl epidemic and blunt the influence of drugs and gangs on children.

CASA

FISH provided critical support to CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties by contributing $105,000 during a year when the organization faced significant funding challenges. CASA empowers trained volunteer advocates to stand beside foster youth, offering stability, guidance, and reliable transportation to school activities, social events, and other essential appointments. FISH’s donation helped sustain vital services and ensured that CASA could continue its mission without compromising its focus on vulnerable youth.

Marjaree Mason Center

FISH's early years as a philanthropic fund featured several fundraising efforts for the Marjaree Mason Center and victims of domestic violence. The Marjaree Mason Center is an organization that supports and empowers adults and their children affected by domestic violence, while striving to prevent and end the cycle of abuse through education and advocacy.

Breaking the Chains

FISH raised $100,000 to support Breaking the Chains, a Fresno-based nonprofit dedicated to helping juvenile and adult survivors of human trafficking rebuild their lives. With every dollar leveraged to generate four times the impact, FISH’s contribution significantly strengthened the organization’s ability to meet growing needs in the community.

Poverello House

FISH (Fund by Indian Subcontinent Heritage) is a volunteer initiative, started in 2017 by Americans of South Asian heritage, that aims to spotlight critical social issues in California’s Central Valley and channel funding to vetted and trusted local nonprofits.
