FISH does not currently provide direct donations or aid to individuals, and we do not fund religious or political organizations. While we can’t give direct financial assistance to individuals, we are always committed to helping those in need access reliable resources.

Central Valley Food Bank

Central California Food Bank strives to end hunger across the Central Valley by distributing food to hundreds of partner agencies and directly serving thousands of families, seniors, and children each month.

Marjaree Mason Center

Marjaree Mason Center offers emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and long-term support to survivors of domestic violence and their children. The center provides a confidential, safe haven when they need it most.

Poverello House

Poverello House serves men, women, and families experiencing homelessness in the Central Valley, offering shelter, meals, and wrap-around support to help individuals regain stability and rebuild their lives.

Breaking the Chains

Breaking the Chains supports juvenile and adult survivors of human trafficking with shelter, trauma-informed care, education and job training, and other essential services. The organization helps individuals heal and rebuild toward a brighter future.

National Human Trafficking Hotline

The National Human Trafficking Hotline offers confidential, 24/7 support to victims, survivors, and concerned community members. This service connects those in need with emergency services, local resources, and a safe path forward.

Board Member

Swati Banerjee is a dedicated board member of FISH (Fund by Indian Subcontinent Heritage), a philanthropic initiative that addresses critical social issues in California’s Central Valley and supports vetted local nonprofits. With a passion for community impact, Swati contributes her expertise and leadership to help guide FISH’s programs and funding initiatives.

Founded in 2017 by Americans of South Asian heritage, FISH operates under the umbrella of the Central Valley Community Foundation (CVCF), a 501(c)(3) organization. Swati works alongside a committed volunteer board to ensure that FISH continues to empower nonprofits that create meaningful change in the region.
